These AHRQ Prevention Quality Indicators (PQIs) and Pediatric Quality Indicators (PDIs) composite measures refer to hospital admissions that evidence suggests could have been avoided, at least in part, through high-quality outpatient care. Data are from the Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project (HCUP).
